international services activities

Overview of  International and Foundation Activities in the Rotary Club of Norwich.
The Club is active in many International and Foundation Projects.   These are summarised below and further details on each activity may be found by clicking on the appropriate button to the left.

1. Supporting the International Scholar programme where students are sponsored to study in a country other than their own. The club has hosted a number of students in recent years..

2. Providing opportunities for young professionals to experience work opportunities and culture through the Group Study Exchange Scheme where teams of 4 young, non Rotarians, led by a Rotarian, have the opportunity to visit another country for up to four weeks and experience how people in the host country, having similar professions, undertake their work.

3. Providing small grants for young people to work for short periods in overseas countries under the Youth Study Award Scheme

4. Supporting the Eradication of Polio. It is largely due to Rotary that Polio has almost been completely eradicated from the world.

5. Providing support for Disaster Relief through Shelter Boxes, Aquaboxes and direct aid to affected regions overseas and in the UK

6. Providing funds for major overseas projects such as hospitals, children's homes etc. through International Service Work

7. Participating in exchange visits with our Twin Clubs of Nice - Cote D'Azur, Koblenz Ehrenbreitstein and Novi Sad and working with those clubs on projects in our respective countries
