The Rotary Clubs in Norwich are supporting the Boudicca Breast Cancer Appeal and are raising money towards the £800,00 required to open the new unit.
The NNUH breast unit handles breast cancer referrals from GPs across the region. The number of patients it sees each month has almost doubled in the last five years, and a new dedicated breast unit is urgently needed. The Boudicca Appeal will help fund this unit, and will mean:

- Faster diagnosis and treatment
- State-of-the-art equipment and same-day diagnostic tests so that patients only need attend the clinic once
- An enhanced environment
- Purpose-built and spacious waiting, consultation, counselling and treatment spaces dedicated to breast cancer patients
- A better experience for patients
- Less stress and anxiety for patients and their families whilst waiting for results, and fewer return visits

BOUDICCA APPEAL CHEQUE PRESENTATION
On Thursday 27th Feb, members of the five Norwich clubs handed over a cheque for £61,396.92 to the Boudicca Breast Cancer Appeal.
Britain's Got Talent Winner, Colin Thackery, raises £8,000 for the Boudicca Appeal
Britain’s got talent winner Colin Thackery performed two concerts at the Assembly Rooms in Norwich on Friday 31st January, a matinee and an evening show. Thanks to full houses and the amazing generosity of those attending who bought raffle tickets and gave to the retiring collection, we raised over £8,000 towards the Boudicca Breast Cancer Appeal. Thank you to everybody that supported us, to Colin, Annette Jude and Susie Turner who performed with Colin, and especially to Heather Millan and her dance school who organised it.
Winner of the car raffle announced
On Monday 16th December, we announced the winner of the brand new Suzuki Swift - kindly donation by Desira Motor Company, supported by East Bilney Garage. The winner of the car was Kate Smith who was handed the keys by Desira Direcor, Michelle Gant. A big thank you to everybody who purchased a ticket and helped us raise over £16,000 towards the Boudicca Breast Cancer Unit.

Taylor Wimpey donate £5,000 to Boudicca Appeal
Taylor Wimpey East Anglia have sponsored Norwich Rotary Clubs with £5,000 donation towards this year’s Craft Fair which is raising money for the Boudicca Breast Cancer Appeal at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital. Members of Norwich Rotary were on hand to help Mark Chapman of Taylor Wimpey to present the cheque to Sheila Glenn at the hospital. The visitors also looked round the area where the new Breast Unit will be.
