INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS SUPPORTED BY THE ROTARY CLUB OF NORWICH:
The Rotary Club of Norwich has supported several international projects in recent years:
- Hope and Homes for Children. We have supported Hope and Homes for Children in Romania and Sierra Leone with sums of up to £10,000 .
- Mercy Ships: We contributed to Mercy Ships' Caribbean Mercy in the Golf of Mexico and Africa Mercy off the coast of Africa, furnishing an ophthalmic operation room.
- Bansang Hospital Burns Unit: In 2007 - 08 we worked to support the creation of a badly needed Burns Unit in the hospital of Bansang, The Gambia.
- Leonard Cheshire Homes: We continue to support 'The Grove' at East Carleton. The Grove is an attractive home (with nursing care), providing a range of services for physically disabled adults.
