CINEMA CITY MOVING MEMORIES PROJECT
Moving Memories is a project to develop a series of film and cinema themed reminiscence resources as well as a team of trained reminiscence facilitators to use the resources across Norfolk. Developed by Cinema Plus with support from the Norwich Archive Centre, Picture Norfolk, The Library Service, and a range of health care professionals including Age UK and the Norfolk & Suffolk Dementia Alliance.
In addition to utilising archive film, Moving Memories packs will include photos, activity suggestions and historical information as well as links to existing resources and recommended films for screenings all developed by education and reminiscence professionals. The project aims to create a resource around film and cinema for reminiscence and life story work in care homes and reminiscence sessions.
The Rotary Club of Norwich has agreed to provide ongoing sponsorship for the reminiscence project.
