CHARITY GOLF DAY 2016
July 1st 2016 in aid of The Matthew Project - Drugbusters.
After 3 years at Bawburgh, this year's golf day was held at Eaton Golf Club. The weather was warm and sunny, but with a definite hint of rain. Twenty one teams of 4 players were competing for our coveted Winners Cup, together with prizes for the best overall individual score, highest ladies score and booby prize for the lowest number of points scored. There were also some great prizes on offer, via our sponsors Norfolk Motor Group, for hole in one on the par three holes.
This year's format was team stableford, best 3 of the 4 scores to count. The winning team were Richard's Seven with a score of 134 points. The highest individual score was Richard Seven himself with 41 and the wooden spoon went to the all ladies team 'Here come the girls' Unfortunately, nobody won the car that was on offer for a hole in one on the 12th hole.
After the golf, Eaton provided a terrific summer carvery and dessert which was followed by the raffle and prize giving. The day was a great success with over £1,500 raised on the day, A big thank you to everybody who took part. We will be back at Eaton for 2017!
