CHARITY BUSKERS NIGHT - Sat 9th SEPTEMBER 2017
Our Sausage cooking team! A full house Dave Lloyd & friends
Our inaugural Buskers Night was held at the Sanctuary on Grove Walk Norwich on Saturday 9th September. The event was initiated by Rotarian Mary Beardwood and supported by Matt Irwin and David Lloyd from the Sanctuary and was a great success with a sell out 115 tickets sold.
Ellie Bea Simon Gordon Claire & Andrew Duncan
The evening was split into two parts. Part one featured Trumpeter Dave Lloyd & friends, followed by singer/songwriter, Ellie Bea and the session was closed by last minute stand in singer/guitarist, Simon Gordon. The audience was then treated to some excellent Gloucester Old Spot Pork Sausage in a bap, with onions and salad, followed by jam donuts!
The second half of the show was kicked off by the amazing Joanne Jordan and her hoola hoops routine. She was followed by singer/guitarist Clive Richardson and the show was closed by the choir - 'Won't sing, Can't sing who encouraged the audience to join in a communal sing song.
Organiser, Rotarian Mary Beardwood said, "We raised over £2,000 on the night which will be split evenly between the Sanctuary and Rotary Club of Norwich charities. A big thank you to everyone who supported the evening, and especially fellow Rotarians who help out with the planning of the event, and the various 'jobs' during the evening"
We look forward to an even bigger and better event next year!
